THE WEST END

West End Resort is located on the Eastern side of the West End of Roatan, Honduras. The West End is a mile strip where English is the primarily spoken language, and the sucba diving is some of the best in the world. There are over 25 easily accessible bars and restaurants within short walking distance from the resort all right along the beach.

Island History/Events:

Located about 65 kilometers off the Northern Coast of Honduras, the Bay Islands group consists of 3 main Islands (Roatán, Guanaja, and Utila). Roatan is approximately 60 kilometres (37 mi) long, and less than 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) wide at its widest point. Roatan's coast has the largest barrier reef in the Caribbean Sea (second largest worldwide after Australia's Great Barrier Reef), Roatán has become an important cruise ship and scuba diving destination in Honduras. Entrance regulations:

A valid passports is required to enter Honduras and Roatan is no exception. Direct flights are becoming more prevalent from the United states, Canada and Europe.
